Angie Hemingway is a retired U.S. Army Colonel with over 26 years in ROCKS, Inc. She is an ultimate professional with established executive, operational, program administrative, management, supervisory, international training, development, evaluation, quality assurance, grant administration, and oversight experience.  She is the President of ALH – Health & Consulting, LLC and provides coaching, lay counseling, and health consulting

Hemingway is a Life Member of the ROCKS, Inc., and ROCK of the Year, who has served at the chapter level in the Washington DC, Ft Leavenworth, and European Chapter of the ROCKS.  Additionally, she has served as Vice President for Membership of the National Board.  Hemingway is a U.S. Army Command and General Staff College graduate and National Defense University graduate. She enjoyed a variety of broad-spectrum assignments in both operational and clinical settings at Walter Reed Army Medical Center, Landstuhl Regional Medical Center, Germany; United States Army Center for Health Promotion and Prevention, Aberdeen Proving Grounds, Maryland; 18th Medical Command, Seoul Korea; Western Region Medical Command and Madigan Army Medical Center, Tacoma, Washington.  Additionally, she served as Battalion Commander, 2d Medical Recruiting Command, Fort Gillem, Georgia; Chief of the Joint Warrior Transition Division, J3 - Joint Taskforce CapMed, the Pentagon.  Deputy Commander, Nursing, Chief Clinical Operations-Rear Detachment, 62nd Medical Brigade; Deputy Commander, Nursing, Chief Clinical Operation, 47th CSH, CP Adder, Iraq; Chief Clinical Operations and Chief Nurse, 47th Combat Support Hospital, Joint Base Lewis McChord, Washington and Commander, Rodriguez Army Health Clinic, OTSG, G3-5/7 - Chief, Global Health Division and Deputy Director, System for Health-Deputy Chief of Staff, Public Health (DCS-PH),  Director, Healthy Environment and Lead Nurse & Director, Move to Health, System for Health DCS-PH, Office of the Surgeon General.

Hemingway is actively involved in her community, serving as a deacon in her church. She is a certified Health Literacy provider for the Fairfax County Stronger2 Program, Top Ladies of Distinction, Inc., Alexandra City Chapter, Member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Inc. She received a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, a Master of Public Health - University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill, Master of Science in National Resource Strategy – National Defense University, Industrial College of the Armed Forces. 

Key Responsibilities:

The Historian preserves the history of the Organization through liaison to stimulate interest and encourage membership and participation by respective groups in the affairs, activities, studies, and publications of the ROCKS. The Historian additionally maintains a narrative account of the activities, maintains the official historical records and documents, collects all books and other written materials, and maintains an archive to tell the Organization's story.
