  It is an esteemed honor to serve the organization in the capacity of Vice Chairperson! I am an unapologetic visionary with over 30 years of management and leadership experience in the public, private, and non-profit sectors. As a 29-year Army veteran, I seek to always leverage knowledge and experience I have gained from formal education and certification in operational planning, public administration, law, strategic studies, online teaching, and international relations. I regard strategic planning, mentoring, budgeting, fundraising, public speaking, researching, and program development, assessment & evaluation as areas of expertise that I will rely on to provide focused and purposeful leadership to the organization. As a ROCKS member since 2006, I’ve held membership in the Atlanta, Washington, DC, Carlisle Barracks, Hampton Roads, and Central Virginia Chapters. I have served on the National Board since 2014 in the positions of VP, Membership Development (2014-2017) and VP, Finance (2017-2023). I’m intensely committed to making meaningful contributions to The ROCKS’ efforts to be the best we can be!

As your Vice Chairman, I eagerly assume the primary responsibilities of:

  • Presiding in the absence of the Chair at meetings of the Board and,

  • Performing such other explicit and implied duties that support the Chair and the Board at-large.

In support of these responsibilities, I seek to fulfill the following goals during FY23:

  • Respond to emails, texts and/or phone calls within seventeen (17) hours.

  • Consistently execute actions that promote collaboration and inclusiveness across the National Board;

  • Maintain predictable and two-way communication with Chapters’ leadership teams;

  • Establish and sustain a working environment that emphasizes planning, execution, assessment & analysis, and refinement, and;

  • Facilitate the Board’s ability to steadfastly adhere to its Strategic Plan.
